Strategic Legal Counsel
I represent business owners in crisis, whether the pressure arises in the business itself or in personal matters that threaten it. This is a deliberately small, bespoke practice built for high-stakes disputes, executive transitions, appellate matters, and agreements that must withstand scrutiny.
Principle
In legal crisis, the difference is rarely effort. It is strategy.Facts multiply. Advisors speak. Motions are filed. Urgency creates motion. What appears decisive is often reactive. Without a coherent plan, even intelligent action compounds risk.Strategy begins before the first filing. It requires defining the objective clearly, identifying leverage early, sequencing decisions deliberately, and preserving optionality for future turns of the case. It means understanding not only how to respond, but when not to.Litigation is not a series of isolated moves. It is a board. Each step alters posture. Each concession shapes leverage. Each filing creates a record that will later be judged without context. My work is to design and execute a strategy that aligns legal action with enterprise objectives. The goal is not activity. It is advantage sustained over time.

Practice Areas
I represent business owners and principals in ownership conflicts, partner disputes, governance breakdowns, fiduciary claims, and high-stakes commercial litigation. I also advise in executive departures, restructuring, dissolutions, and other transitions where control and valuation are at issue.
I design prenuptial and marital agreements for business owners and individuals with significant or complex assets. These agreements are structured to protect enterprise interests, allocate risk clearly, and withstand scrutiny under future challenge. This work is particularly suited for founders, executives, and investors whose ownership interests require deliberate protection before personal transitions occur.
I handle appeals and dispositive legal issues involving preserved error, jurisdictional questions, and complex questions of law. I also serve as appellate or issues counsel in trial-level matters where long-term review is a realistic consideration.
I advise business owners, creators, executives, and public-facing professionals on the protection and control of name, image, likeness, and other identity-based rights. This includes contractual risk review, enforcement of publicity rights, strategic response to unauthorized use, and coordination of litigation where necessary. As identity increasingly intersects with enterprise value and digital exposure, the objective is not merely protection but governance. Ownership, licensing, and risk allocation must be structured deliberately.
I serve as strategic and coordinated counsel for founders and business leaders who need more than isolated legal advice. Acting as the “quarterback” of the professional team, I bring cohesion to attorneys, accountants, tax advisors, litigation counsel, and other specialists who typically operate in silos. I ensure that every advisor is aligned around a unified strategy that protects your interests and advances long-term objectives. When litigation arises, I coordinate and supervise outside trial counsel, overseeing strategy, monitoring deadlines and discovery, and serving as the central point of communication, so the founder stays focused on running the business. My role is to create clarity, alignment, and disciplined execution across all moving parts, reducing risk while keeping broader goals at the forefront.

biography
I am a Texas trial and appellate attorney with more than three decades of experience representing business owners and principals in complex, high-stakes matters. I have tried cases to jury verdict, argued appeals, and handled disputes involving significant financial exposure and long-term enterprise consequences.I am Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in family law and have been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America for my work in appellate law and family law. I have also been named among the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Texas and recognized by Success Magazine as a Woman of Influence. These distinctions reflect sustained work at scale. They are the result of years in the courtroom, appellate courts, and negotiations where control, valuation, and ownership were contested under pressure. This practice represents a deliberate chapter. It is intentionally selective and built for business owners who expect disciplined strategy, discretion, and authority when the stakes are real.I advise founders, executives, athletes, and public figures on the intersection of law, identity, enterprise, and crisis. I recently spoke at SXSW on the legal architecture of identity in the AI-driven economy. My perspective bridges traditional legal doctrine and emerging technological risk.I am licensed in Texas and regularly coordinate with appropriately licensed counsel where matters extend beyond the state.

engagement
Engagements begin with a brief review to determine fit. If the matter appears aligned, a structured consultation is scheduled. Consultations are substantive working sessions and are billed at standard hourly rates. The purpose of a structured consultation is to clarify posture, identify immediate decision points, and assess whether disciplined legal strategy can materially affect outcome.Where representation proceeds, scope is defined deliberately at the outset. The role, objectives, and boundaries of engagement are confirmed in writing. Depending on the matter, this may involve service as primary trial counsel, coordinated representation across multiple advisors, or focused appellate/legal counsel.

jurisdiction
I am licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. Legal advise is provided with respect to Texas law unless otherwise permitted through association with appropriately licensed counsel.I represent clients throughout Texas in matters consistent with the focus of this practice. Where matters require coordination across jurisdictions, I work with experienced local counsel to maintain strategic continuity.
